Today is the 44th anniversary of the Arrow project cancellation. Seems like yesterday we were commemorating the 40th year since Black Friday. My God, how time flies.

I've got a shiny new blog now, to do quick things and all the bitching and moaning personal musings that don't exactly fit into the 'news' category. Enjoy... or not.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Yuletide Greetings, whatever, to one and all!

December 7, 2002
I have posted sample pages from GAAK #2. Enjoy and have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Cool Yule or whatever.

It's been a looooooonng time since I last posted, but GAAK #1 is finally out! It's at  Lightningstrike , under the Smash comics imprint. I got my comp copies late last week! I haven't had much time for my own projects lately, but hopefully GAAK will pay off for Darryl and me.

Two more days to my b-day. I'll be 37...whoopee. I just uploaded more old material to the site, showing just how little I knew of perspective or panel continuity in 1991. I guess I'm just a masochist.

I got a fantastic review for He Crossed his Neck with Thunder at the ORCA site. Thanks to Rick Olney for such kind words. On the sorry side, I mentioned this on the TCJ forum and the thread promptly got canned. I have nothing personal against TCJ, and their site is theirs to administer as they please, but I don't want to get caught in their bunfights. I don't think I'll be spending much time there in the future.

Oh, and I got my first order through Dimestore Productions today. Thanks!

I trust you all found your way over here OK... Well, I have no idea how I could have exceeded monthly bandwidth limits at the previous host when daily and hourly limits wouldn't even have come to that, and no answer was forthcoming. Oh well, lots of other fish in the sea, and towards the end of the season I'll be working on establishing my own domain so that we don't have to deal with this nuisance again. That's all it was to me, a nuisance. No begging on my knees, just shaking them off like the dust off my clothes and bugging out. There's not as much space allotted here, but I don't expect this to be a permanent situation. Anyway, I did get a few new links in...

You are Kermit!
Though you're technically the star, you're pretty mellow and don't mind letting others share the spotlight. You are also something of a dreamer.

Just uploaded an old bit of mouse-drawn work, "Notes From the Iron Horse's Daughter". Have a looky!

The first batch of the general run of He Crossed his Neck with Thunder is here! I'm up to my elbows in
"Collation Hell" making some copies ready to sell. I've already sent two advance copies to the NLC for legal deposit, which is their due for giving me ISBN numbers for free. So order away, guys!

Here comes the new look for the index page! Hope that map-image GIF isn't too big, but I'll be looking for ways to optimize it without too much loss. Added to that is a new preview of the second book in my series, The Well and the Whaler's Cat. It hasn't been re-lettered yet, so bear with me. Over the next couple of weeks I'll be freshening the look of all the other key pages as well.

Over the past couple of weeks I've been busy copying, folding and assembling a small number of advance copies of He Crossed his Neck with Thunder. Two go to the National Library of Canada for legal deposit, two or three to reviewers, one to Darryl, one for a prize and the others are being sold off to friends. This doesn't look like too bad a way to go for the budget-conscious, but hand-trimming the books is a b*tch.

Spring is just around the corner! Yeah, I know, it doesn't feel a lot like spring up here just yet, just this half-frozen gooey mess left over from the last big thaw. I can't wait for things to start growing again. Anyway, I would like to thank the folks who ordered books through Amazon and hope the ones I shipped in this week get there (new shipper). The last weekend I spent at a craft show, drawing people's faces. It was kind of strange; few kids, mostly adults and teens. This week I'm getting some hardcopy proposal packages ready for GAAK. Oh, and I got some sample pages in for He Crossed his Neck with Thunder. Just thought you'd like a peek...

The Real Avro Arrow page is finally in. Not much there right now besides a summary and links to other sites, but it's a start...
March 5, 2002
This week I uploaded the inked, lettered pages of the GAAK prologue. Now to find a publisher...
Rich Watson's review of the Arrowflight compilation just came out. Here it is. I just got another order through Amazon, don't know if that's coincidental or not.

Some fresh additions to the links page.

GRRR!!!  My ReVamp page is now history, it seems. Wish they'd tell people first.

Check out my new distributor support documents on my contact page! There are a one-sheet and a sheet of general info for distributors and retailers. Standard deal applies, half of cover for five or more copies...

Fourth chapter of UNA Frontiers is up. This is all that I had that was already existent. Anything you see from here on in is going to be newly produced stuff. I don't think I'll be able to do it in twelve-page segments though, more like six to eight. That will necessitate devoting each smaller segment exclusively to one side of the storyline, and will make collecting into an integrated story easier. I am planning to collect and publish it, starting with the first four chapters, as some of you don't care for downloading a slew of image files and if you have a slow connection, I don't blame you one bit.
